Frequently Asked Questions

Which Shank's Table is the most versatile?

The most versatile table in our product line is the Dorsal/Lateral Cylinder Base Equine Table. This table is mobile (in a clinic setting), and can tilt 4-ways via hydraulics, allow for Trendelenburg positioning. However, this table does have the highest lowered height at 22-1/2" (57.15 cm). Depending on how the horse will be loaded onto the table, this lowered height may not allow for enough overhead clearance to lift the horse onto the table. All factors impacting loading of the sedated horse onto the table (ceiling height; hoist or lifting mechanism; lifting hobbles; surgery table lowered height; additional table padding/cushioning) should be taken into account when determining which model Shank's Table would best meet your needs.
